Statement of Faith
What we believe
Galilee Bible Camp is built on the Word of God and our personal faith in Jesus Christ. We hold to the great foundational truths of the historic Christian faith, shared with like-minded evangelical Christians in fellowship and mission. We believe:
- There is one God, Creator and Sustainer of the universe, existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- The Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God, inerrant in the original manuscripts, and uniquely infallible. It is our only authority for faith and practice.
- Our Lord Jesus Christ is God. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, substitutionary sacrifice on the cross, bodily resurrection, victory over sin and His enemy Satan, present exaltation at His Father’s right hand, and His personal return, at any time, in power and great glory.
- Humanity is fallen and lost; our total depravity means we must be regenerated by the Holy Spirit to be saved.
- Salvation is the forgiveness of sins, the imputation of Christ’s righteousness and the gift of eternal life, received by grace through faith alone, entirely apart from works.
- The Holy Spirit indwells the Christian, enabling a godly life, and gifts and equips the Church, the Body of Christ, to serve and glorify God.
- All people will be bodily resurrected. Those who have trusted in Christ, the ultimate Judge, will receive everlasting life and blessedness in heaven; those who have not will receive everlasting punishment and separation from the presence of God.
- Christ has commanded His Church to preach the gospel to all people, and this should be a primary concern of every Christian.
